Bring your dinghy or hire one to fish for brown & rainbow trout, or enjoy canoeing on Lake St Clair.
Bronte Park village can provide trout fishing guides and nocturnal wildlife tours and is only 30 minutes from 11 trout fishing lakes.
Hire or BYO Clubs and have a game of golf at Tarraleah on the highest course in Tasmania, also many sensational Fishing spots nearby.
Visit the Parks & Wildlife Visitors Information centre at Lake St Clair to see the interpretative display about the lake and the Parks fauna and flora. Ask about the summer ranger’s activities from Dec - Feb.
Lake St Clair, 5 km off the Lyell Highway, at the southern end of the Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park offers a range of bush walks from 30 minutes to 7 hours and superb wilderness scenery on the Lake St Clair ferry.
Drop into Tarraleah, circa 1934 the oldest ex-hydro town in the area; it has a fantastic lookout across the Nive Valley and some great examples of Art Deco Buildings, memorabilia and old photo display.
At Derwent Bridge stop to view the carvings and sculptures at the new gallery, Wall in the Wilderness, turn off the Lyell Highway 1 km east of the Lake St Clair junction.
