From Derwent Bridge it is a five-minute drive to Lake St Clair , a grand natural lake at the southern end of the famous Overland Track in the Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park. Hydro-electric schemes at Tarraleah and Bronte Park harness our rainfall and produce a quarter of Tasmania 's ‘clean green' electricity.
